REF Participates in ENAR conference

“From Segregation to Integrated Schooling the way forward”  in Brussels on April 28.


The REF supported a major international conference on school desegregation titled “From Segregation to Integrated Schooling: the Way Forward” co-organized by the European Network Against Racism(ENAR) and the European Roma Information Office (ERIO).

The REF supported a major international conference on school desegregation titled “From Segregation to Integrated Schooling: the Way Forward” co-organized by the European Network Against Racism(ENAR) and the European Roma Information Office (ERIO).

REF provided advice on the speakers and participants, contributed to financing the trips of resource persons from the Decade Countries. Rumyan Russinov , REF Deputy Director, participated and  gave several presentations at the meeting. At the end of the meeting the participants prepared recommendations to the European Union and its Member States. In the recommendations REF is mentioned as “the only multinational instrument promoting equal access to quality education for Roma.”
